The National Museums Liverpool commissioned Amanda Cano to complete an accessibility report on their website. A number of pages and templates were selected for testing, inlcuding Flash and HTML games. The pages were tested against the new W3C WCAG2.0 accessibility guidelines. User testing was also conducted using a number of testers with various disabilities and assistive technologies.

What they said

Amanda provided a really thorough audit, on time and at a reasonable price. We wanted to test to WCAG 2.0, despite it still being in draft format, and Amanda able to accommodate. The user testing was especially useful - brought up a lot of general useability as well as accessibility issues. The staff training and audit template she provided mean that we are in a better position to carry forward the lessons learnt, and just being able to chat to someone who works on accessibility day in day out was really useful. All in all, a really good experience and one we would repeat for future projects.

When we needed to contact Amanda to clarify issues raised in the reports, she responded promptly and efficiently. The accessibility testing was especially constructive – and also served as an introduction for us into the types of accessibility issues we should consider when developing and designing current and future projects.
